Job Description

As a Courier Motorista Internacional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of packages and documents across international borders. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all governmental and corporate procedures.
  • Accurately select and inspect assigned packages, reporting stop counts and miss-sorts as required.
  • Seek additional business from current customers, attempt to gain new business, and inform the sales department of significant changes in customer use or competitor actions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions on FedEx features of service and keeping customers informed about the company and its services.
  • Determine the legality of packages, including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments, and separate packages by service type and destination according to established procedures.
  • Scan packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrate proficiency in features of service and equipment.
  • Ensure customers have an adequate supply of FedEx materials for shipping.
  • Meet aircraft and transport packages as required for sorting operations.
  • Load and unload company vehicles and operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages.
  • Clean, wash, and perform minor maintenance on company vehicles as necessary, maintaining a neat and clean personal appearance to uphold the company's public image.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic English skills preferred.
  • One (1) year professional driving experience.
  • Must possess the appropriate license for the vehicle assigned, in accordance with specific country regulations.
  • Good driving record.
  • Must be 21 years old or older.
Skills
  • Driver's License Type B or A4 or A2 Vintage.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs. (25kgs) and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs. (68kgs) with appropriate equipment.
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test.
