Process Engineer

This role involves developing process engineering designs and specifications for air separation plant projects. We require an experienced individual with a strong background in industrial gas, process simulation, and equipment design. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing costs and benefits of various process solutions, selecting optimum design cases, and ensuring successful completion of assigned project phases on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Analyze process solutions and select optimum design cases for the system and equipment.">
  • Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), heat and material balances (H&MB), and provide accurate process data to support compressor systems, distillation columns, control valves, relief valves, manual valves, pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, pipeline measurement equipment, analyzers, silencers, cooling towers, and other air separation equipment components specifications and purchasing.">
  • Participate in P&IDs development, HAZOP, plant commissioning and start-up, technical risk analysis, safety and environmental assessments, and documentation.">
  • Review technical aspects of vendor equipment proposals.">
  • Review and check project-specific drawings and data sheets to ensure compliance with design criteria and standards.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ">
  • Experience in cryogenic air separation and/or non-cryogenic adsorption air separation industry.">
  • Knowledge of one or more process simulators.">
  • Working knowledge of process equipment and line sizing, material selection, and calculating utility requirements.">
  • Bachelors degree in chemical engineering.">
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.">
