Job Title: Medical Device Design Specialist
Develop innovative medical devices and enhance existing products through collaboration with cross-functional teams. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for developing surgical implants and instruments while adhering to regulatory and quality requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:- Create 3D part files and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks software.
- Analyze test data and generate reports to verify or validate designs meet functional and performance specifications.
- Interact and coordinate with other departments to establish project plans, product requirements, and documentation activities in accordance with design control and risk management procedures.
- Provide assistance to manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and regulatory departments as needed.
- Interface with suppliers and provide support during the manufacturing process.
- Follow organizational and group guidelines, procedures, and protocols.
- Present information to management, customers, and field personnel when requested.
- Inspect inventory components and supervise first product builds.
- Support business development and management activities.
- Participate in research assignments, including trade show and conference attendance.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical and/or biomedical) or equivalent work experience.
- Two years of product development experience in medical devices desired.
- Reports to Senior Project Engineer or equivalent.
