Senior Software Engineer

This role involves leading the development of software systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions, and ensuring the quality and reliability of code.

Main Responsibilities
  • Integration and Communication: Develop robust communication layers between AV software and scenario execution engines using RPC API, and debug customer-specific requirements and edge cases using C++ and Python.
  • Systems Adaptation: Adapt software deployment architecture to customer systems, leveraging expertise in Docker, Linux services, public cloud, and Kubernetes.
  • Simulator Integration: Develop integration layers with AV simulators used by customers for scenario testing, involving C++ and Python development, potentially working with different platforms, OSs, and communication protocols.
Key Activities
  • Collaboration and Analysis: Collaborate with CTO, R&D, and Application Engineering to identify and analyze software challenges, and contribute to the development of software solutions.
  • Coding and Debugging: Engage in coding, debugging, testing, and integrating software using object-oriented languages under Linux, ensuring high-quality code.
  • Customer Engagement: Directly engage with customers to resolve software issues and integrate with real systems at vehicle and site levels, providing exceptional support.
  • DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure: Design and build modern DevOps and cloud infrastructures supporting all testing modes, ensuring efficient and scalable operations.
  • Automation and Integration: Develop tools and processes to streamline and automate integration activities, enhancing productivity and reducing manual effort.
  • Tech Meetings and Support: Participate in technical meetings and demos with colleagues, partners, and customers, and provide support to team members and engineers.
Requirements
  • Software Development Experience: At least 5 years of experience in object-oriented software development and programming.
  • Native Linux Development: Proficiency in developing native Linux software using C++.
  • Multilingual Programming: Multilingual programming experience, toolchains, and operating systems.
  • Docker and Cloud Expertise: Docker and cloud technology expertise.
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Customer-facing experience, with a focus on resolving software issues and providing excellent support.
  • Distributed Systems and Troubleshooting: Experience with distributed systems and troubleshooting software components.
  • Education and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, along with strong software architecture and algorithm development skills.
  • Communication and Motivation: Excellent English communication and writing skills, as well as self-learning and highly motivated individual qualities.
