Diagnostic Ultrasound Professional

This position entails performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform all diagnostic ultrasound procedures to ensure optimal results and adhere to established protocols.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and instruction, ensuring a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
  • Review and confirm provider orders, providing technical support and consulting with radiologists as needed.
  • Deliver high-quality scans and communicate effectively with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Utilize sound judgment to produce images of optimal quality, deviating from normal techniques when necessary to visualize the principle area of interest.
  • Document scans and handle patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, tact, courtesy, patience, and safety.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Specialized Diploma Graduate of an approved CAHEA school of diagnostic medical sonography or certification program.
  • One year of clinical experience in ultrasound, including abdominal, GYN, and peripheral vascular doppler procedures.
  • Ability to deal effectively and ethically with confidential information relating to patients, families, physicians, and nursing personnel.
  • Capacity to function independently and competently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Registration as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) and certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
