- Portfolio Oversight: Manage a segment of the audit portfolio, leading risk evaluations on an ongoing and semi-annual basis.
- Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate strong working relationships with senior executives, external auditors, and other vital partners.
- Strategic Projects: Drive initiatives around governance, risk management, process optimization, and organizational change.
- Process Improvement: Help refine audit procedures, policies, and quality assurance standards to maintain a high level of audit excellence.
- Cross-functional Engagement: Lead efforts beyond routine audits, contributing to large-scale improvement projects and enhancing GIA's strategic objectives.
- Academic Credentials: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CPA, CIMA).
- Audit Expertise: At least 7-10 years of audit experience, including 3-5 years in a senior internal audit role.
- Industry Experience: Knowledge of the logistics or maritime sectors is an asset, as is familiarity with the COSO framework and international auditing standards (IPPF).
- Technical Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with tools like Power BI or QlikView is a bonus.
- Languages: Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is required.
