Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Collector to join our team. As a key member of our Surface Data Logging service line, you will be responsible for providing on-location geological and drilling data collection and reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Learns the basics of drilling theory and mud logging techniques
- Gathers drilled cuttings by depth intervals and keeps records of intervals transported
- Responsible for the transportation of these cuttings and keeping work area clean
- Attends training and performs on-the-job development activities related to learning the basics of mud-logging, data collection and reporting, and gas system operations
Key Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline or Geology
- Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude and good communication skills
- Arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills
- Successful completion of company tests or meeting task guideline requirements
Additional Information:
- This is an entry-level position into the SDL service line for employees with little to no experience in the petroleum or related industries
- This is a field position requiring attendance at designated rig sites
