Senior Backend Developer Role

This is a highly sought-after position in our organization, primarily responsible for designing and developing robust backend solutions.

  • We are looking for an experienced professional who can design, develop and maintain backend applications using Spring Boot, Java, and Kotlin.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend technologies and be able to collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
  • A strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code is required, as well as the capacity to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing backend systems is also crucial, along with ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the application.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current backend technologies and best practices is essential.
  • The successful candidate will participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement, and provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers.

The responsibilities and authorities of this role include:

  • Making technical decisions related to software architecture and design.
  • Having access to all necessary information and tools to perform the role effectively.
  • Delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
  • Mentoring and providing career development support to junior developers.

This role involves internal and external contacts/customers, including working closely with other software developers, QA engineers, product managers, and designers, as well as interacting with external stakeholders during product demos or user feedback sessions.

Key Skills Required
  • Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Experience with observability technologies (e.g. Datadog).
  • Experience with Git versioning systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
