IT Applications Analyst Job Description

As an IT Applications Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining the resolution processes documentation and knowledge articles. This includes performing technical reviews, acceptance testing, and implementing software and firmware upgrades.

Additionally, you will manage supported software solutions to ensure data and project access are successful. You will also manage day-to-day system health issues and activities, including querying data from various software systems to identify and mitigate issues.

Furthermore, you will manage, maintain, and monitor all system integrations facilitating data exchange with the ERP system and other related systems. You will also participate in and communicate the Change Management Process associated with the maintenance and security of software systems.

Designing customizations and data analytics queries, dashboards, displays, and reports for data analytics projects is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • General knowledge and understanding of IT acumen associated with best practice ITIL standards, including User Technical Support and Change Control.
  • Demonstrated skills utilizing technology platforms, database utilities, and reporting tools, including SQL and T-SQL, experience working on Data Warehouse, ETL, and integrations, as well as data modeling workflows.
  • General knowledge of Cloud database administration (Azure and AWS).
  • General knowledge of PowerBI, Python, and Geoscience data acquisition workflows is a plus.
  • Experience as an Application Support Analyst or similar position is preferred.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data processing, or a related technical field. Alternatively, work experience and/or a combination of education and work experience will be accepted.
