Role Overview

This is a key role for credit risk management in the financial sector. As a specialist, you will be responsible for originating and monitoring credit portfolios, including producing initial credit assessments, annual reviews, and quarterly evaluations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor economic and industry trends to anticipate potential risks and minimize losses.
  • Participate in credit committee meetings, prepare materials, and engage in discussions to convey credit quality and risks.
  • Conduct due diligence on customers with the business team.
  • Support transaction structuring and discussion, including risk analysis and relationship strategy.
  • Develop enhancements to workflow management tools and participate in stress tests and user acceptance testing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Ensure accurate data input and integrity when building and monitoring credit facilities.
  • Engage in team meetings for constructive dialogue and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Considerable knowledge of financial statements and Brazilian GAAP.
  • Ability to identify potential risk issues that require escalation.
  • Strong industry research capabilities, including key drivers, risks, opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflicting ideas and build relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work independently and under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience leading client due diligence.
  • Commitment to excellence and positive attitude.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of credit experience in analysis or risk management for commercial or corporate banking.
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as business administration, economics, accounting, or engineering.
  • Fluent English language skills, with Spanish being an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
