We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainable Transportation Professional to join our team and contribute to developing and implementing programs that advance our commitment to reducing carbon emissions.
This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and track carbon emissions, develop strategies for reduction, and create incentives for carriers adopting low- or zero-emission vehicles.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze and track carbon emissions across transportation networks and facilities using data-driven approaches
- Develop and implement emission reduction strategies aligned with our net-zero carbon goal by 2040
- Create incentive programs for Third-Party (3P) carriers to adopt low- or zero-emission vehicles
- Drive data-based improvements to achieve both environmental and business objectives
- Develop and implement community engagement initiatives aligned with the Transportation business
About the Team:
- The Sustainable Transportation & Reverse Operations team is a newly established division within Amazon's Transportation organization in Brazil
- Our mission is to establish a reverse logistics operations program structure, grouping projects and initiatives that are disperse within other teams while maintaining our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Environmental Science, or Supply Chain Management
- Experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an intermediate level
- Advanced English language proficiency
- Experience working cross functionally with transportation teams for Sustainability Projects
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
