Therapist Role in Mental Health Treatment

This role is responsible for providing comprehensive counseling and therapeutic services to clients in a mental health treatment center. The Associate Therapist will work with individuals, families, and groups to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions to discuss effective coping skills and assist clients in navigating their mental health diagnoses.
- Develop and monitor the implementation of individualized treatment plans, conduct client psychosocial assessments, and ensure timely completion of all required documentation.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between staff members.
- Provide crisis management support as needed, utilizing de-escalation techniques and connecting clients with emergency resources when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Masters degree from an accredited social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology program.
- Registration with the State of California Board of Behavioral Health as an associate or licensed therapist.
- Experience working in mental health treatment centers preferred; experience working with veterans a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- A competitive salary range of $73,000 - $75,000 per year.

Please note that hiring requirements include completion of a background check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Additionally, candidates must be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification upon hire.
