Job Description:

 

As a therapist in a school setting, you will be responsible for providing counseling services to students and their families. Your primary focus will be on delivering billable services within the school environment, including collateral contacts and administrative work.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 90% of your time on providing direct services to students and/or their family members, engaging them in the treatment process.
  • Meet with assigned supervisors regularly to review current caseloads and progress according to program guidelines.
  • Attend and engage actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities as assigned.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation professionally and within established timeframes.
  • Administer assigned clinical assessments to all students on your caseload and complete dictation according to program protocols.
  • Complete other assigned paperwork for the program and/or grant funding in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a counseling or related human services discipline is required; some schools may require license-eligibility.
  • Must possess maturity, dependability, sound judgment, and be a positive role model for youth and families.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary to light work; ability to sit/stand for extended periods; occasional light to medium lifting up to 50 pounds depending on duties.
