Job Overview

School Therapists are required to work with students and their families in a part-time capacity, providing counseling services and other essential functions.

The selected candidate will spend the majority of their time providing billable services within the school setting. This includes conducting counseling sessions, engaging in collateral contacts, and performing administrative tasks.

Direct services will be provided to students and/or their family members on a regular basis. The therapist will also engage in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and submit all required clinical documentation in a timely manner.

A Master's degree in a related human services discipline is required for this role, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess sound judgment, maturity, and a positive attitude towards working with youth and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling services and direct care to students and their families.
  • Engage in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Submit all required clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Administer assigned clinical assessments to all students on caseload.
  • Complete other assigned paperwork for the program in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a counseling or related human services discipline.
  • Must be mature, dependable, and have sound judgment and a positive attitude towards working with youth and families.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods, occasional light to medium lifting up to 50 pounds depending on duties.
