Therapist Role in Education

This is a temporary educational therapist position lasting approximately 8 weeks. As a vital member of our team, you will provide counseling services to students in a school setting.

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Provide billable services including direct therapy, collateral contacts, and administrative tasks for students (90% of time)
  • Engage with students and their families, facilitating the treatment process (50% of time)
  • Regularly meet with your assigned supervisor to review caseloads and discuss progress or regression
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as assigned
  • Complete all required clinical documentation in a timely manner
  • Administer assessments to students on your caseload and complete subsequent dictation according to program protocols and timeframes
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant counseling discipline
  • Sound judgment and maturity serving as an appropriate role model for youth and families
Work Environment
  • Sedentary work primarily involving sitting/standing
  • Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds
  • Medium work involving moving objects up to 50 pounds
