Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring that materials are available when and where they are needed.

  • The successful candidate will monitor and analyze demand forecasts to ensure materials are purchased and stocked according to needs.
  • They will negotiate with suppliers to ensure efficient supply of materials, including selecting suppliers and tracking deliveries.
  • Maintenance of optimal inventory levels is also critical, avoiding excess or shortages of materials, checking current stocks and taking steps to minimize obsolescence.
  • Closely working with the Planning, Manufacturing, and Projects teams is essential to understand material needs and adjust supply plans as required.
  • Evaluation of supplier performance in terms of quality, timeliness, and cost is also necessary, taking steps to improve supply when necessary.
  • Creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring specifications are met and materials arrive on time, are key responsibilities.
  • Resolving issues related to material shortages, delivery delays, or discrepancies between what was ordered and what was received is also part of this role.
  • Accurate maintenance of records of inventory, purchase orders, and other relevant information ensures data accuracy and facilitates reporting and analysis.
  • Utilization of analytical tools to monitor inventory performance and identify opportunities for improvements in material planning is also expected.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in purchasing and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
