Responsibilities

1) Establish and Maintain Effective Working Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members, colleagues, and visitors to the working environment.
  • Ensure accurate and effective handovers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate and report accurately and clearly according to established procedures.

2) Control and Maintain Stock Levels Effectively

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and transparent records using a Computerised Stock Control System.
  • Receive and verify stock against manifests and Purchase Orders/Requisitions.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Alert the Storekeeper to minimum stock levels to prevent stockouts.
  • Liaise with departments to ensure timely provision of equipment and materials.
  • Ensure equipment and materials are correctly identified and stored in designated locations.
  • Verify certification requirements of equipment and materials (e.g. PSVs are current).
  • Monitor equipment and materials requirements through liaison with the Storekeeper.

3) Maintain Stock Security and Safety

  • Maintain the security of equipment storage areas and control access to storage areas and stock.
  • Ensure equipment and stock storage areas are clean and tidy, preventing debris accumulation.
  • Issue equipment from equipment storage areas and store stock and equipment appropriately.

4) Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures

  • Identify and report unplanned discharges to the environment according to policy, procedure, and regulation.
  • Use relevant PPE to deal with unplanned discharges according to company procedures.
  • Dispose of equipment, waste, or other materials according to the correct procedure.
  • Enforce environmental protection and pollution control measures with colleagues, subordinates, and subcontractors.

5) Emergency Response

  • Participate in Emergency Response role.
  • Demonstrate competence during drills and exercises.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in the Marine or Petroleum Industry with FPSO experience preferred.
  • Experience with PC-based materials inventory control systems (AMOS preferred).
  • Basic understanding of materials, purchasing, and stock management procedures.
  • Qualified to trade or technician level in a technical discipline.
  • Medically fit with offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
  • Personal Skills: Personal: Safety-oriented. Conscientious. Accurate. Positive. Technical: Appropriate standard of technical and professional knowledge as defined by competencies. Good numeracy and literacy in English. IT: Good familiarity with standard 'Office' software package. Operation and use of Internet and electronic mail system. Experienced operator of Computerised Stock Control software.
