We're seeking an experienced AI engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of conversational AI for public safety. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of language models in high-stakes environments.
- Job Description: Assist Chat is our flagship conversational AI, already deployed in 9-1-1 centers, patrol vehicles, and real-time crime centers. As an AI engineer, you'll work on building, fine-tuning, and evaluating large language models and task-specific agents for public safety workflows.
- Proven experience in ML/AI engineering roles, shipping models or pipelines into production.
- Familiarity with LLM ecosystems (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, Llama) and modern AI stacks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Ray, Hugging Face).
- Experience with RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, prompt chaining, and fine-tuning is preferred.
- Strong programming skills in Python development and testing are essential.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), containerization (Docker/kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines is required.
- Pragmatism and ability to operate in applied, real-world settings with real constraints are key.
