The Amazon Financial Technology Team is seeking an IT Applications Specialist focused on enhancing our tax integration systems and platforms, including tailored solutions for the Brazilian market.


Our applications serve as the core for all tax and financial information.

Our technology underpins and orchestrates a variety of essential tax processes, encompassing both direct and indirect taxes, at local and international levels.

This role demands a proactive approach, where your capacity to rapidly assimilate information and manage diverse, overlapping tasks will be pivotal to your success.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and validation of tax data flow input and output streams, ensuring reconciliation of tax data related to both online and offline transactions, while providing support to system end-users.
  • Collaborate with business partners to investigate and analyze inquiries and issues concerning tax software, including its configuration and calculations.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for any interface errors between systems.
  • Engage in the design and development of technological solutions, leveraging data to enhance or transform business processes.
  • Emphasize cross-functional communication to ensure that key decisions, risks, issues, and solution statuses are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Challenge the capabilities of third-party software through innovative design and delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience with tax software is essential.
  • Familiarity with Oracle database and middleware technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with Synchro is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and supporting software applications.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data analysis and SQL.
  • 4+ years of experience with reporting systems and business applications such as MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, and MS SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with the implementation, configuration, support, and reporting of financial or tax software.
  • Familiarity with Oracle EBS or other ERP systems concerning Financial, Tax, and Accounting modules.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
