The primary objective for this position is to comprehend the organization's data-related needs and develop a high-performance, self-service Customer Data Platform (CDP) with robust pipelines, ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, security, data quality, profiling, documentation, and lineage.
This role requires a technical leader who can discuss data event-driven architecture in a modern stack and has extensive experience in people and careers management within data. The ideal candidate should have a background in both Data Platform and Data Pipelines, as well as expertise in dimensional data modeling (star schema or snowflake) with knowledge of best practices.
The successful candidate will be proficient in SQL and Python with clean, performant code, and will have a good understanding of data lifecycle concepts such as architecture, lineage, governance, privacy. Additionally, they should be fluent in cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP) and have experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures.
As a team leader, the individual will need to keep up with data engineering best practices and apply them to the team, while also having good communication skills to collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and Ops teams.
