About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Risk Governance and Regulatory Risk to join our team at UBS. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing regulatory deliverables and materials, maintaining regulatory interaction information in global regulatory risk systems, and liaising with Regulatory Affairs to ensure alignment in regulatory interactions and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to risk management and control, serving as a subject matter expert for endorsing policies.
  • Oversee risk frameworks and documentation, including the design and maintenance of the risk management framework.
  • Design and execute cross-risk assessments and develop and maintain processes for Terms of Reference and Authorities documentation.
  • Develop and oversee Risk Governance Minimum Standards, ensuring alignment of agenda topics with regulatory requirements and open commitments.
  • Prepare annual topics and agenda, aligned with regulatory calendar, as well as escalation protocols development and maintenance, risk authorities, and alignment with group governance.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in developing and implementing risk governance frameworks and policies, as well as extensive experience managing regulatory deliverables and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Key qualifications include:

  • +10 years of relevant experience in risk management.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing risk governance frameworks and policies.
  • Extensive experience managing regulatory deliverables and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Experience in regulatory requirements, including Basel II and Central Bank of Brazil risk-related regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
