The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the business development process by providing in-depth financial analysis, building valuation models, and leading project execution.
This position requires a strong understanding of financial valuation principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives such as M&A, joint ventures, and other business development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide support for complex strategic level decisions with expert analysis appropriate for senior leadership and board audiences.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business development activities, including valuations, scenario analysis, and forecasting.
- Conduct thorough financial due diligence and analysis of target companies.
- Collaborate with business development teams to identify potential acquisition targets and assess their financial performance.
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, and industry data to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field
*Experience in financial analysis, modeling, and valuations, preferably in a business development or M&A context
*Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, prioritize, and adapt to a changing environment
*Self-starter with the ability and drive to independently frame problems and attack the work at hand
*Strong computer skills, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Teams
*Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software tools
