Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Communication and Event Organiser to join our team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for coordinating events and promoting climate diplomacy in the Amazonian region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate events and meetings with local governments and stakeholders;
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote climate diplomacy;
- Build and maintain relationships with local government officials and stakeholders;
- Analyze data and provide insights to inform decision-making;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project results.
Requirements:
- Relevant professional experience in event organisation;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong network relevant to the topic of the assignment;
- Participation in past EU projects required;
- Fluency in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese;
- At least six years' experience in the sector related to the project;
- Minimum three years' proven professional experience supporting similar projects in the region;
- Experience working in the Amazonian region highly valued.
