Key Account Manager - Surgical Sales

Our portfolio includes ophthalmic surgical devices, consumer eye care products for dry eye and allergy, contact lens, and contact lens care.

As a Key Account Manager - Surgical Sales, you will play a critical role in overseeing the overall IOL portfolio, showcasing expertise in our products' benefits and differentiating vs. competitive products by providing high technical consultancy in assigned accounts.

You will work closely with Account Managers, Tender and Pricing teams to provide the right customer solutions. Your typical day can include:

  1. Driving total IOL revenue and market share in the territory
  2. Accelerating PCIOL penetration
  3. Facilitating the Accelerator program in selected accounts
  4. Managing tender requirements working with internal teams
  5. Working with Customer Operations on consignment, leveraging MyAlcon360
  6. Developing new business with customers to achieve sales targets
  7. Maintaining and optimizing existing relationships and managing business with existing key customers
  8. Providing feedback on competitor activities in the field via line management
  9. Maintaining and upholding an excellent company image

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of all IOLs and ability to detail the full portfolio of IOL products
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both technical and interpersonal
  • Customer-oriented mindset and strong customer relationship management
  • Flexibility, motivation, self-confidence, resilience, goal-orientated mindset with a strong sense of drive
  • Strong logical and analytical skills to solve problems, ability to work independently and be proactive
  • Strong business decision making, based on data, fairness, and consistency
