About this Role

This is a leadership position responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all IT-related activities within an organization. The role involves supervisory responsibilities for staff assigned to the IT department, ensuring continuity of computer services through technical leadership and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct IT staff, including employee-related issues.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures as a member of management.
  • Maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers and management.
  • Develop IT goals and contribute to the continuity of computer services.
  • Forecast costs, equipment, and personnel needs for projects.
  • Stay up-to-date on technology developments and remain technically competent.
  • Prepare long- and short-range plans for application selection and resource acquisition.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Identify and drive Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, Exchange, and Office skills.
  • Ten or more years of experience managing e-mail systems and serving at a Help Desk function.
  • Hardware installation and break/fix repair experience.
  • New PC builds and PC/LAN troubleshooting experience.
  • Wired and wireless networking expertise.
  • Ten or more years of experience troubleshooting network and hardware issues.
  • SQL Server and ERP/database knowledge are a plus.
  • Virtualization and cloud computing experience are a plus.
  • Prior experience supporting Windows operating systems and configuring routers.
  • Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement is a plus.
