Job Title: Associate Nurse

The Associate Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves providing primary, emergency, and occupational-related services within the scope of nursing practice.

This position requires strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be educated with a minimum College Degree in Nursing, hold a valid license issued by local health authority regulation, and possess at least 1-2 years of experience in the Nursing Field, preferably with an occupational setting.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting nurses and physicians with daily primary patient care and handling medical and surgical emergency cases
  • Participating in hygiene and sanitation inspections
  • Providing medical guidance and awareness to employees about health-related issues
  • Inventorying medical supplies and equipment
  • Implementing company medical policies and assisting in implementing health programs and employee benefits as per HR guidelines
  • Responding to incoming telephone and radio calls and other queries in reception and information areas
  • Managing feedback and complaints from employees
  • Demonstrating knowledge in safely using equipment and preventive maintenance procedures
  • Providing courteous and respectful services concerning cultural beliefs and needs of employees
  • Serving as a patient advocate, providing emotional support and guidance throughout the healthcare process
  • Educating patients and employees on disease prevention, health maintenance, and available resources, including safety administration of vaccinations/immunizations
  • Administering medications as per patient safety procedures, accepted guidance, and practice
  • Monitoring patients' progress and response to interventions, modifying care plans as advised and required
  • Documenting patient medical attendance by scanning, uploading, filing medical reports, and ensuring integrity and confidentiality of medical reports, record keeping, and administrative reporting
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
  • Attending continuing education courses to keep abreast of latest evidence-based practices
  • Cleaning linen regularly
  • Monitoring vital signs and reporting worrying symptoms to the nurse
  • Providing and cleaning bedpans as required
  • Helping patients with mobility problems to move around as required
