Video Content Specialist

We are seeking an experienced video editor to join our team. As a video editor, you will specialize in long-form content and be responsible for editing videos that focus on educational content.
The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of the English language, with the ability to understand scientific terminology and conduct research. They should also be proficient in editing, with experience in creating simple to moderately complex graphics/animations.
Our process involves providing you with a script and audio, which you will then use to find supporting images, videos, and create short motion graphics when necessary. The source material will include studies, documentaries, Wikipedia/Wikimedia, art websites, and more.
To qualify for this position, you must:
- Have extensive experience as a video editor, including motion graphics and simple 2D animations
- Be highly proficient in English
- Be skilled in research
- Be a fast and diligent learner, always looking to improve and willing to take the time to understand scientific concepts
- Be organized and punctual with delivery
- Be able to learn from feedback and adapt your style to match our video's tone
- Not be afraid to ask questions or seek help when needed
