Our ideal candidate is a skilled YouTube strategist with the ability to craft compelling content that drives results.

We are seeking an experienced writer/scripter who can develop high-quality video outlines and scripts that engage, educate, and convert viewers into leads/bookings.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of using direct response principles to achieve business outcomes, including generating qualified leads and sales for our consulting offer.

This is not just a content role — it's a strategic position that requires a deep understanding of how to use YouTube as a platform to drive growth and revenue.

Key Objectives:

  • Develop structured video outlines to educate, engage, and convert viewers into leads/call bookings.
  • Balance channel growth (views, retention, CTR) with business outcomes (leads, booked calls, closes).
  • Research competitors and audience pain points to guide video topics with the highest conversion potential.
  • Work with our design team to create multiple title and thumbnail variations optimized for CTR and aligned with direct response principles.
  • Script content with strategic CTAs designed to funnel viewers into lead magnets, webinars, or calls.
  • Use YouTube Analytics to analyze performance and refine both content and conversion strategy.
  • Collaborate with editors and designers to ensure content is engaging, story-driven, and high converting.
  • Work closely with our founder to continuously test new formats, CTAs, and hooks to maximize ROI from YouTube.

Requirements:

  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Fluent in English language.
  • Direct Response Expertise: 3+ years of experience writing/scripting with the goal of generating leads/sales.
  • YouTube Knowledge: Experience scripting or strategizing content for YouTube (business/education/consulting channels preferred).
  • Conversion-Oriented: Strong understanding of funnels, CTAs, lead generation, and nurturing via content.
  • Analytical: Comfortable using YouTube Analytics (and tools like TubeBuddy/VidIQ) to track both growth and conversion metrics.
  • Creative & Strategic: Ability to blend storytelling with direct response — making content that entertains, educates, and converts.
  • Comfortable working with tight deadlines and adapting quickly.
  • Excellent cultural fit with our company values.
  • Excited to work closely with our founder and play a direct role in scaling consulting revenue through YouTube.

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver 4–6 high-quality YouTube outlines/scripts per month.
  • Work with designer to create title & thumbnail variations for each video optimized for CTR.
  • Research & pitch weekly video concepts focused on lead generation & conversions.
  • Write strong CTAs into scripts (subscribe, download, book a call).
  • Track performance across both YouTube metrics (CTR, retention, watch time) and business metrics (leads, call bookings).
  • Refine and iterate content strategy to improve conversion rates.
  • Work with the founder on other video content across the funnels like VSLs
