A Path to Strategic Power Management

The objective of this role is to manage power positions and execute power transactions effectively. The Power Trader will be responsible for developing trading strategies according to market fundamental analysis and conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, principles, and contribute to a culture of Compliance.
- Deliver aggressive annual trade book gross margin targets through strategic decision making.
- Execute daily, monthly, and yearly ahead power trades in Brazil.
- Represent Trading activities for Shell in Brazil and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with gas and power trading, operations, and sales/origination teams to achieve mutually beneficial goals.
- Facilitate seamless customer transactions and support customer management with the Sales and Origination team.
- Align and contribute to Shell Energy Brazil and Shell Energy Americas' overall objectives and strategies.
- Interact effectively with other support functions such as Finance, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Market Risk.
- Support development of future SEB trading and origination staff members.
- Accurately enter deals, manage positions, and deliver PnL within the Shell Trading Network's control framework.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the Brazilian Power market and its fundamentals.
- Develop and implement long-term trading strategies in collaboration with team members to drive profitability.
