Job Description:

Our company is building the future of digital manufacturing for interior spaces, bridging the gap between online 3D configuration and ready-to-machine outputs. We're developing AI tools that convert floorplans into 3D layouts to accelerate design, quoting, and production workflows.

We're seeking a senior AI/ML Engineer to lead the development of a system that can analyze floorplan images and convert them into 3D geometry, walls, doors, windows, and more, ready for our CPQ engine. You'll develop core AI capabilities and work closely with our design automation and backend teams to bring intelligent layout recognition to life.

You will be responsible for designing and training deep learning models to extract spatial and semantic information from 2D floorplans. This includes developing pipelines to convert detected geometry into structured 3D models, working with vector data, PDFs, or raster images to detect key architectural features, and collaborating with CAD and backend engineers to translate AI output into parametric geometry.

Additionally, you will optimize models for speed, accuracy, and usability in real-world production environments, create optimal cabinetry layouts and suggestions from data provided from designers, and lead ML projects from conception to production.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and vision models (YOLO, UNet, Detectron, etc.)
  • Experience in computer vision or document/image parsing
  • Understanding of geometry-based learning and spatial context
  • Ability to translate model output into geometric representations
