**Job Title:** Environmental Governance Specialist

**Job Description**

The Sustainable Development of the Brazilian Legal Amazon project has been approved by the Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF). The project aims to support environmental regularization through land governance and territorial planning, with a focus on sustainable development.

As an Environmental Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the articulation between the MPTF project team in São Luís and the FAO Brazil office in Brasilia. Your tasks will include:

  • Supporting project coordination: Work closely with the project coordinator and other team members to ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Preparing reports and documents: Assist in preparing progress reports, work plans, financial reports, and other documents required for project accountability.
  • Implementing project activities: Support the timely implementation of project activities in accordance with FAO and MPTF rules and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with stakeholders: Liaise with project coordinators, team members, and other stakeholders to support project organization, participation, and follow-up actions.
  • Reviewing technical products: Review technical products and deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Participating in meetings: Participate in meetings with project stakeholders to discuss project progress and challenges.
