Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to join our team in Porto Alegre.

About the Role

This position involves designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support business-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and data requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and optimize ELT processes to ingest, transform, and integrate data from diverse sources into a centralized data platform;
  • Develop strategies for data monitoring, performance optimization, and governance, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance;
  • Collaborate on data modeling using DBT to transform raw data into well-structured information;
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop targeted solutions;
  • Stay updated with emerging data technologies and best practices to recommend improvements.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in SQL;
  • Experience with Python programming;
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
  • Familiarity with data extraction tools such as Airflow or Airbyte;
  • Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration;
  • Intermediate English;
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines;
  • Basic knowledge of BI tools.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of DBT for data modeling and transformations;
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Terraform for container orchestration and infrastructure as code;
  • Knowledge of data catalog tools such as OpenMetadata or DataHub.
