Job Summary

V2X is seeking a highly skilled Maritime Operations Center Specialist to provide support services for the operation, maintenance, upgrade, and management of identified NAVCENT Information Technology (I.T.), Communications Services, and underlying infrastructure and system components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 Support: Offer technical assistance to NAVCENT service desk customers via various communication channels, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
  • System Administration: Install and update computer hardware and software, ensuring seamless operation of C4ISR computer systems and ONE-NET.
  • Work Order Management: Prioritize and manage work orders according to established performance priority timelines, maintaining accurate records and notes.
  • Administrative Support: Provide various administrative and clerical tasks as needed, ensuring efficient operation of the Maritime Operations Center.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel up to 20% of the time to various ports within the Indian Ocean and Middle Eastern AOR.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Certifications: IAT Level II Certification, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP with IA and CE.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience with Navy or DoD Networks, Tier 1 Help Desk support, and C4I Systems experience.
  • Clearance: Active DoD TS-SCI Clearance.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work primarily in computer facilities at Naval commands in an office or computer equipment room environment. Occasional work outside of normal work hours may be required to participate in meetings, troubleshooting efforts, and installations or upgrades.

Physical Demands
  • The worker is required to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Individual must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted.
  • Close visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer terminals, and visual inspection of installed computer and network equipment.
