Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Depot Manager, the Facility Operations Supervisor is accountable for the effective functioning of facility infrastructure and equipment. This role encompasses validation, qualification, maintenance, and enhancements in alignment with internal protocols, policies, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the maintenance program and supervise activities to ensure equipment operates correctly while maintaining accurate records.
  2. Conduct routine challenge tests to verify that facilities and equipment perform as expected during incidents (e.g., Power Failure Tests, Alarm Tests).
  3. Generate and manage reports (e.g., Temperature Reports, Access Control Reports, Facility Inspections, Calibration Reports) to ensure documentation is properly maintained.
  4. Administer the calibration schedule and review certificates and results to confirm that facility instruments remain within acceptable deviation limits.
  5. Investigate equipment incidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures to avert recurrence.
  6. Plan, supervise, and document facility and equipment modifications, ensuring adherence to change control and improvement processes.
  7. Review facility and equipment schematics and documentation for accuracy.
  8. Collaborate with QA and Engineering Support to perform Temperature Mapping, including protocol development, sensor placement, equipment configuration, and reporting.
  9. Assist QA and Engineering Support in drafting IQ/OQ/PQ/PR protocols and reports.
  10. Provide training to associates on facility and equipment operations and processes.
  11. Support the Depot Manager with budget and capital expenditure estimations and follow-ups.
  12. Be available for on-call duties in case of incidents that may jeopardize stored products.
  13. Engage with vendors to secure optimal pricing and service for facility needs.
  14. Train staff and providers for authorized access to restricted facility areas.
  15. Consult with other departments regarding equipment design, fire prevention, and safety programs.
  16. Manage facility projects, including timeline development, vendor coordination, and budget oversight.
  17. Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs or potential health hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications:

Reports To: Depot Manager

Indirect Reports: Global Facilities and Engineering Manager

Experience and Education:

A comprehensive background in maintenance, warehousing, business administration, accounting, computer sciences, or related fields typically acquired through a four-year degree program or equivalent experience.

Requires a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.

Technical vocational training or an Engineering degree is preferred.

Desirable:

  1. Experience with commercial HVAC systems.
  2. Knowledge of electrical installation.
  3. Familiarity with Building Management Systems.
  4. Experience in cGMP or Clean Room environments.
