Job Overview
Technical Support Specialist RoleWe are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to provide intermediate-level clerical support to our technical departments.
This role involves maintaining databases, filing systems, and graphics under the direct supervision of a Technical Manager.
- Maintaining databases for technical departments.
- Daily log-on of submittals.
- Monthly plan counts for Offshore Engineering and Ship Engineering Departments.
- Supporting technical staff with project tracking, logging, filing, or responding to client requests.
- Sophisticated filing systems for technical departments.
- General office duties, including stamping and booking out submittals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 0 - 2 years of related experience.
- Considerable previous related experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to learn and understand established procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
The work is primarily sedentary, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
