Occupational Health Manager Role Overview

This full-time position is based on-site and requires leadership and management of Health Center Occupational Processes, Case Management Process, and Global Program Management. Key responsibilities include personnel development, medical compliance, business integration, strategic review and planning, maintaining union interface, providing medical expertise, and ensuring quality occupational medical services delivery.

Brazil Medical Leaders are responsible for healthcare operations within the country. The role entails employee development, regulatory oversight, business partnerships, and strategic planning to maintain a healthy work environment. This includes managing complex staff issues, CAP processes, 9-box compensation planning, plant tracking sheets, emergency response plans, and joint programs with HR and labor departments.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional setting are essential. The ideal candidate will possess innovative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and experience in plant medical and supervisory roles.

Job Description
  1. Leadership and management of Health Center Occupational Processes – PCMSO and Case Management
  2. Ensure all Brazilian legal requirements are met
  3. Manage Case Management process across all plants
  4. Recruit, interview, hire doctors and nurses
  5. Address complex staff issues
  6. Complete CAP process for direct reports and compensation planning
  7. Ensure plants meet BPD requirements
  8. Review Emergency Response Plans, run simulations, and track plant data
  9. Foster collaboration between plant medical teams and HR/labor departments
  10. Provide medical expertise to Plant Medical Directors
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)
  • Board certification in Occupational Medicine
  • Valid state medical license
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Plant medical and supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication, motivation, and inspirational skills
  • Innovative thinking and strategic approach
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
