Ubuntu Server Engineering Lead

Canonical seeks an accomplished Engineering Manager to oversee the development of Ubuntu Server. As a key member of the team, you will lead the software management team responsible for the professional Ubuntu offerings.

The successful applicant will possess excellent leadership skills, technical expertise in open-source software and cloud computing, and a strong understanding of large-scale engineering initiatives. Your team will work closely with product managers to define the vision and strategy for Ubuntu Server.

  • Participate in code and architectural reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Engage with the open source community and commercial partners to drive collaboration and growth
  • Plan and deliver features that meet customer needs and drive business success
  • Travel internationally up to 6 weeks per year for events and meetings
