Mental Health Specialist for Global Emergency Response

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in providing critical mental health and psychosocial support in emergency settings. The successful candidate will work within the framework of IASC guidelines, Sphere standards, and International Medical Corps MHPSS Quality Standards.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct situational analyses of targeted health facilities and staff, producing comprehensive assessment reports to guide program implementation.
- Develop targeted training materials and tools based on global guidelines, providing training in identification, management, and referral for selected priority neurological and substance use disorders.
- Provide ongoing supervision and mentoring to paraprofessional staff in mental health and psychosocial support.
- Support the integration of mental health at the health facility level, collaborating with service providers for integrated mental health services.
- Medical degree or Psychiatric Nursing degree with complete residency and current license/registration.
- Typically 5+ years' experience working on MHPSS programs, with expertise in training and capacity building of health professionals.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills, with ability to work within different cultural environments.
The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, International Medical Corps offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
