Electrical Engineer Opportunity

Halliburton is seeking a highly skilled R&D Electrical Engineer to join our team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working with multidisciplinary teams. They will be responsible for designing complex systems solutions, including subsea applications and well control, as well as providing guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

  • Develop and apply advanced engineering tools to solve complex system equations
  • Design and implement electronic circuit designs using LTSPICE, PSPICE, and other commonly used simulators
  • Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to collaborate on projects
  • Contribute to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio by delivering innovative and commercially successful solutions
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in R&D is preferred
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams located in different locations/countries
  • Advanced working knowledge in electronic circuit design and math tools applied to embedded systems in harsh environments
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Experience in designing solutions for subsea applications and well control involving multiple disciplines
  • Knowledge and participation in patent processes
  • Strong background and knowledge in different aspects of control system design, signal processing, and analyses
