Healthcare Financial Actuary

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Financial Actuary to join our team. As a key member of the Financial Actuarial & Analytics Community of Expertise, you will be responsible for contributing to complex analyses and projects involving the design, financing, and measurement of employer health and group benefit programs.

  • Develop knowledge of varying client complexities by working across different profiles.
  • Demonstrate advanced/expert knowledge in employee benefit plan design, underwriting, funding concepts, and H&B tools.
  • Be a key member on multiple employer client teams providing financial analyses and client deliverables across regions.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance on benefit plan analysis, design, cost avoidance, risk, and funding strategies.
  • Review technical and consulting accuracy on client projects, including pricing, employee contributions, plan design alternatives, and reserves.
  • Communicate complex financial/actuarial results effectively to drive client action.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in professional services, preferably in benefit consulting, brokerage, health underwriting, or actuarial functions of insurance companies.
  • Advanced knowledge of health and welfare products & services.
  • Experience with big data analytics techniques preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality results on time and within budget.
Benefits:
  • Salary range is $90,000 to $130,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
