Technical Support Specialist - Balance of Plant

Join a dynamic team providing services and support for customers in LATAM, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to optimize processes in generation power plants. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of thermal power plants.


As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide experienced technical support for Balance of Plant systems in thermal power plants, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization. Your expertise will help plant operators, engineers, and customers ensure safe and efficient BoP system operations.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert technical support for BoP systems in thermal power plants
  • Conducting root cause analysis of BoP-related issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborating with plant personnel to ensure safe and efficient BoP system operations
  • Developing and implementing maintenance strategies and schedules
  • Assisting in designing and implementing upgrades to improve BoP system performance and efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications in BoP systems are a plus
  • Experience in Balance of Plant systems within thermal power plants, focusing on technical support and troubleshooting
  • In-depth knowledge of BoP system design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with familiarity with industry standards and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, software, and equipment related to BoP systems; intermediate English and basic Spanish
