About Phlebotomy Role

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care.

This role involves performing phlebotomy tasks such as blood collection for lab testing under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing
  • Verify patient information and test orders
  • Conduct standard tests and explain procedures to patients
  • Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique
  • Data entry and processing of specimens

The successful candidate will be able to apply sound judgment and understand written or oral instructions to carry out tasks effectively.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two years of experience in phlebotomy in a clinical and/or laboratory setting
  • Current and valid California phlebotomy licensure (CPT) required
  • CPR (BLS) card required

Additional requirements include the ability to read and interpret documents, respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, write routine reports, speak before groups, and maintain confidentiality.
