We are seeking a Commercial Development Manager to join our team. This role is focused on building commercial partnerships for International Nature Based Solutions (NBS) projects under recognised voluntary carbon standards.
">The role involves leading the origination and screening of NBS project development opportunities, working closely with an experienced Project Development team and Portfolio Management colleagues. You will also be responsible for conducting commercial due diligence, working closely with technical specialists on technical aspects.
As a Commercial Development Manager, you will develop commercial propositions that meet the needs of both projects and clients, and negotiate commercial agreements with project counterparties. You will work closely with client-facing colleagues to ensure that the project pipeline will meet current and future needs.
You will report into the Managing Director for Latin America and the Global Director of Project Development. The ideal candidate will have a track record in originating, structuring, negotiating and managing commercial agreements, ideally with private and not-for-profit counterparties.
You will need to have experience working with local implementation partners such as NGOs and private companies, with an understanding of the on-the-ground challenges, particularly in developing markets. You should also have experience of managing a pipeline of opportunities through to delivery.
