Job Description:

The role of a Data Scientist involves designing, developing, and deploying advanced analytics solutions that power data-driven decisions across the organization.

You will work with large-scale datasets, implement machine learning models in production environments, and leverage emerging AI technologies to solve complex business problems.

By combining technical excellence with business acumen, you'll help create a robust data foundation that drives innovation and growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and analytics solutions
  • Source, collect, and analyze new data sources
  • Work closely with development teams to implement features into production
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights
  • Research, prototype, and implement emerging AI/ML technologies, particularly in generative AI and modern data science tools
  • Contribute to the development of data science roadmaps and architectural decisions for scalable analytics solutions
Requirements:
  • University degree in physics, math, computer science, or a related field
  • Professional experience in a related role and/or demonstrated competency (projects) utilizing relevant technologies
  • Proficient in Python, Java, or similar programming languages with experience building production systems
  • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and software engineering best practices including version control, testing frameworks, and code documentation
  • Experience in modeling and predictive analytics with experience working with unstructured data
  • Experience with machine learning tools in big data environments
  • Practical experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), prompt engineering, and response optimization
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mind, and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience
  • Prior experience in financial institutions (or other similar industries) is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in both English and Portuguese is required, Spanish language skills are a plus
