Team Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer – Energy Cables to join our dynamic team.

This role involves overseeing the comprehensive activities related to the analysis, planning, research, and development of products. You will be engaged in the entire lifecycle of product development, from initial conception and design to the enhancement of existing products, all tailored to meet customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include estimating costs and timelines, executing various tests in accordance with established international standards, and leveraging techniques and technologies defined by our corporate headquarters. The goal is to deliver competitive products that excel in cost, quality, safety, health, and environmental considerations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, investigate, and innovate new product offerings.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for new product development.
  • Conduct thorough technical and technological research to identify product improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate projects and products, generating detailed reports and technical assessments.
  • Design and develop products, including specifications, prototypes, materials, and processes.
  • Oversee the construction, testing, and analysis of product outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards throughout the product development process.
  • Lead research initiatives and feasibility studies for new products.
  • Engage in product qualification, certification, and homologation activities.
  • Propose modifications to existing products to enhance performance.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures across product lines.
  • Provide technical support during the industrialization phase at the manufacturing facility.
  • Offer technical assistance to the marketing team (e.g., creating brochures, catalogs) and the sales team (e.g., client visits).

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical preferred);
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Spanish is a plus;
  • Advanced skills in Excel (experience with macros and VBA is advantageous);
  • Demonstrated experience in R&D, manufacturing, or quality assurance;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD is desirable.
