Job Overview

The Logistics Coordinator is a critical role in ensuring seamless and efficient movement of goods, materials, and inventory throughout the supply chain.

This position plays a vital part in coordinating daily shipping and receiving schedules for inbound and outbound freight.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Prepare accurate shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve any logistical issues.
  • Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Resolve shipment and delivery issues promptly, addressing damage claims or delays.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP, WMS, or TMS systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings, implementing changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to provide reporting and KPI tracking.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, supply chain, or warehouse coordination.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and/or ERP platforms.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of freight carriers, LTL, FTL, and international shipping is an asset.
  • Forklift certification or experience is an asset.
Work Environment:

This role involves frequent work on the manufacturing floor and may involve exposure to allergens such as milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, sesame, and soybeans.
