Job Title: Commodities Data Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodities Data Specialist to join our team.

  • This role is responsible for onboarding, modeling, and maintaining data that meet our clients' needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural and biofuels markets, as well as experience working with commodities data.

Beyond technical skills, this role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate business needs and priorities to guide strategic direction for agriculture and biofuels data products.
  • Design processes to ensure high-quality commodities data.
  • Understand data pipelines for automated ingestion, preparation, and storage.
  • Function as a central resource across Bloomberg functions as commodities data move through their lifecycle.
  • Ensure deliverables align with overall business goals.
  • Establish relationships with market participants and understand client needs and trends.
  • Advise on design, modification, and evaluation of commodities data sets.
  • Work with Sales to promote products to clients and anticipate client needs.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of agricultural and biofuels markets.
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis using tools such as Python, SQL, Excel.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience working with commodities markets and products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
