Financial Analyst for Global Card Payments

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be central to Adyen's financial performance in global card payments. You will work closely with our product team to ensure the accuracy of fee passthrough to customers.

You will build insights to foster a comprehensive understanding of the complex fee network, supporting Adyen's commitment to fee transparency. By analyzing large datasets on Adyen's big data platform, you will uncover new financial optimization opportunities.

We collaborate closely with our global teams, including Product, Finance, and Partnerships, to drive business growth.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ensure merchants are charged the most optimal and accurate cost price for transactions.
  • Analyze and identify the necessary data to address questions, extract the required data, and perform analysis.
  • Optimize technical pricing rule-based models, devising methods to detect anomalies and monitor them.
  • Improve processing efficiency for core payment processes.
  • Implement fee change rollouts to maintain our cost infrastructure and manage the merchant experience.
Requirements
  • A strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative or technical field such as Econometrics, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • A detail-oriented approach to deliver high-quality work.
  • The ability to possess technical aptitude to address problems with data.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau.
  • Experience in analyzing data and automating complex data handling using SQL, Python, and/or R.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to interpret complex data or technical functionality with commercial teams and Adyen's merchants.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Fluency in English language.
