Strategic Technology Manager

Business solutions involve acting as a key liaison across clusters, business units, and information technology teams. This includes developing an understanding of the business, its challenges, and translating these needs into IT-enabled solutions. A deep understanding of best practices is also necessary to ensure that systems and technologies are contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of business performance.

• Leads IT/system-related business process improvements by identifying opportunities and developing initiatives that enable business innovation and efficiency improvement.
• Covers international and local IT corporate policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to guidelines.
• Coordinates with IT application and/or infrastructure specialists/managers to design IT solutions and align them with regional and global centers of excellence.

Strategy and Planning:

• Engages with global centers of excellence, DevOps, CPG sales, strategy and planning, infrastructure, and shared platforms to assess technology options and capabilities and develop business cases.
• Gathers key IT information data for value creation planning or cluster business projects, defines strong business cases in coordination with BPOs, regions, and global centers of excellence, and cross-IT functions either cluster or global.
• Represents and drives the IT vision, strategy, and initiatives to the business leadership team and ensures that business stakeholders are aware of the IT vision, strategic planning, and priorities.
• Focuses on business improvement and business processes as well as delivering appropriate technology.
• Ensures accurate and transparent IT cost models for the cluster.
• Collaborates with business, BPOs, and region ITM to develop and deliver the annual GIS budget plan (AOP) for the cluster business, provides RITM period-end closing reporting and insights, assists the business in forecasting, documenting, and planning for future IT needs, and manages IT prioritization activities within and across the cluster.

Infrastructure and Shared Platforms:

• Ensures SLA performance alignment and communication to the business leadership team, liaises with cluster IT teams, service integration managers, and vendor service managers.
• Manages stakeholder expectations and alignment with business goals.
• Drives continuous improvement, cost reduction, standardization, and harmonization of GIS services within the cluster.
• Is accountable for local vendor and contract management.
• Owns the pipeline of cluster IT projects and ensures their successful implementation, participates in local steerco meetings where appropriate.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Business proficiency in English.
• Over 7 years of IT and business/industry work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business analysis.
• Over 3 years in advisory roles in information systems to business leadership functions, with a significant amount of time in companies of similar size and complexity.
• Experience and understanding in business process management, with the ability to translate business needs into IT-enabled solutions.
• Solid experience in managing matrix organization business leadership teams to meet their expectations.
• Capability to empower and develop people.
• Experience of project definition and scoping, formulation of feasibility studies, and benefits cases.
• Must possess strong business acumen to perform as a reliable and valuable business partner.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English.
• Experience in building and working with remote teams.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Nice to Have:

• International experience.
• Experience in multi-cultural international organizations is preferred.
