The ideal candidate will oversee daily production activities, ensuring contract work is organized and distributed to groups effectively. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversight of job flow, scheduling, and provision of sufficient work for Vocational Training Services.
- Organization of job materials, including oversight of stored work and daily work for instructors and participants.
- Teaching instructors how to complete jobs and checking daily accuracy throughout Vocational Training Services groups.
- Maintenance of job description books for use by instructors.
- Coordination of pickup and delivery of contract work materials.
- Inventory management of work product when work orders arrive at Via to ensure accuracy.
- Scheduling of contract work for Vocational Training Services department work sections.
- Quality control monitoring prior to shipment to customers.
- Quality management oversight for instructors and participants.
- Weed check participant production sheets weekly.
- Inventory maintenance of supplies needed for contract work, including order completion through Uline.
- Support for UniqueSource shredding contract, providing assistance to participants.
- Fulfillment and shipping of Borenson orders.
- Relationship maintenance with vendors through timely response to emails and phone calls regarding contract work.
- Operation of the forklift as needed.
- Agency forklift trainer.
- Driving the 26-foot box truck to pick up and drop off contract work, including shredding.
- Assistance with Vocational Training Services department coverage needs.
- Coverage at Reynolds and Reynolds, and other Small Group Employment production sites as needed.
- Maintenance of knowledge base of current best practices in delivering Pre-Vocational Supports for individuals with disabilities.
- Quality control and high safety standards maintenance in accordance with ODP regulations, OSHA requirements, and local ordinances.
- Licensing regulations adherence in accordance with ODP.
- Motivation provision for staff to meet the agency's mission and departmental goals.
- Cultivation and maintenance of professional and positive relationships with participants, contractors, and other service providers.
- Preparation and submission of monthly invoices for completed outgoing work.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Logistics, or Engineering, preferred; Associates degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Business, Logistics, or Engineering, and two years' experience in industrial work, preferred; or High School diploma or GED certificate, and four years' experience in industrial work, which includes at least two years supervisory experience, required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Experience in managing vendor partnerships, cultivating client relationships, and driving business growth, required.
- Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, appropriate vehicle insurance, and clean driving record, must have.
- DOT physical, must pass.
- Must be able to pass drug screening.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, must possess.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, must have.
- Discretionary judgment exercise and handling difficult situations calmly, graciously, and constructively, must have.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, must have.
- Knowledge and experience using computers and related software, including Microsoft Office and Excel, must have.
- Standing, sitting, lifting up to 75lbs, and walking on a daily basis, must be able to perform.
- Traveling in the community as needed, must be flexible and able to adapt.
